Set in the margins of Silicon Valley, “Golden," tells the story of a human-sized gold nugget who lives off the land. When she confronts a dry water tap, she must leave her mountain home and journey to the city. But who is she really? Availing itself of documentary, poetic, and magical realist techniques, the film explores questions of excess, limited resources, and worth. A collaboration with Annie Albagli, Minoosh Zomorodinia, and Carolyn Chen.
